Egad! There are rabbits around here! On the way back from the supermarket on Wednesday night, I saw a brown rabbit zoom (a wise move, as it's a moderately busy bypass) across the road - or rather, I saw it once it'd reached the other side. Maybe it's time to dust off the camcorder!

Vulpine sorts may wish to check out this trailer.

Sátántangó should be well worth the time - and it will take a little, as it's a film seven and a hour hours long. I don't see IMDb ratings that high very often, and where they exist, I've found them worthwhile, as with Heart of a Dog.

ibneko might want this iPod cover.. ^_^

Apparently, mutant space bunnies are in this season. I think.

Has anyone played Rub Rabbits? I know there's no actual lapine connection, but it looks somewhat interesting nonetheless.

So, I accepted Tom Nook's offer to enlarge my humble home - which cost 20,000 Bells. The improvements? 120,000 Bells! Ye gods and little fishes (of which there seems to be a plentiful supply, so I'm not too worried)! I mean, not to sound ungrateful to him, but how does enlarging a home cost six times as much as the house itself? Frankly, I wish I'd had the option of just getting six more of the old size, and linking them together with Minneapolis-style walkways. See, if we could only combine The Sims with Animal Crossing..

Yay! I have a bunny hood now! ^_^

It's good to see Ein fared okay after Bebop.

For drhoz - and anyone else who's missed it - Lemon Jelly - Nice Weather for Ducks, one of the coolest videos of the past decade. ^_^ It's only reasonable quality, as it's the freebie version the production company released on the web - but a load of fun all the same.

Amidst current Stuff™, one favorite is Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch (16.5MB). (Edit: PSP version here - 10MB)

Want to rate your system's graphical performance against others'? CineBench 9.5 is now out. Oddly, only as a single bundle, containing an OS X Universal Binary, and Windows 2000/XP versions.

And mycroftb amongst others might like to see LJ now includes autosaving of journal entry drafts.

I have a better version of Nice Weather For Ducks somewhere. Want me to find it?
Certainly! I should really get hold of the DVD sometime - gods know I've watched that video enough times. Who can't love shimmying squirrels and backflipping rats?
I'll attempt to find which computer and drive it is on, then.

Also..

fal deral deral do!
I cant read Japanize. But I know that I would be crying my eyes out in that movie about the baby Fox.
It does look quite wonderful.. ^_^ Ah, if only there were some chance of a Western release.. still, it's bound to appear on DVD, and possibly even with subtitles. But even if not, would that really matter? ^_^

Oh, what's the latest on the crane story, btw?
Everything is kinda on hold. I need to meet with my Union rep and discuss the possiblility of me changing Operators unions. Once I do that the Crane Cert school will only cost me a few hundred. Thats a far cry from the $2,000 It started at. :)

In any case I will not leave Caltrans until I have five years in as I want to get some money from Calpers when I hit 55.

I've not heard their third yet - I should give it a try sometime. Come to think of it, didn't they release a DVD including the NWfD video? (Presumably what you used for the dance) That'd be worth it alone. ^_^ It'd probably be a great track for a furdance, but of course, the video really makes it - slycat was of the opinion that remains their best video, with the others good, but not above it. Though how do you top that? ^_^

Mmm, big screen projector.. definitely a toy I'd like to lay my paws on someday, when things settle down a bit. As is, I wouldn't even have anywhere to project on to. ^_^;; And for just myself, Hyzenthlay's screen works beautifully. I just wish projector bulbs weren't so fearsomely expensive - I could agree with them having additional cost, certainly, as they're quite special widgets, having to dissipate that much heat without turning into slag, but they seem to run about half the cost of the complete unit! Eeg. (Though there was that company I noticed highlighted on /. the other day, claiming their monochrome laser projector will be available in a full color version around the end of the year. Even if that's more intended for smaller screens, that could be quite a promising technology)
The fox movie looks neat. I'll have to import a copy when it hits video.

And awww for baby Ein.
I wonder if any of the fansub groups might handle it? Whilst the great majority of Japanese fansubbing is for anime, there are some exceptions, such as for the live action Sailor Moon. (Not the wonderfully awful Saban version that, mercifully, never came to be.. seen the trailer they put together for it? Fabulously cringeworthy :) Live-eviL in particular don't seem to be averse to handling the occasional non-anime related live action feature. Though, I suppose there's a chance the Japanese DVD might come with English subs - that doesn't seem quite as rare as a few years ago, though certainly not something one can rely on.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a dog that relaxed - that's usually the purvue of felines. He makes a red panda look tense. ^_^
