When just a local train ride brings a beam to one's face, you know you're home.

And so it was on Saturday, heading from San Leandro to Balboa Park. ^_^

I have also been discussing the merits of North Coast's exceptional brewmaster (Brother Thelonious, Rasputin's Imperial Stout, and many more), the wonders of swashbuckling woofs in space, and revisiting my sake bento and its custodian and chef.

As I said: home. =:D
Just so. ^_^

Damn, it's so good to be back at the Magnolia.. and they have a couple new beers in their portfolio, including rather a good spiced Belgian blonde, weighing in at a substantial 10.5%. Went beautifully with their ham & egg sandwich, with a thick layer of ham, a couple small fried (but not greasy!) eggs, and the perfect tang provided by some onion marmalade and rocket. =:9
I remember it well, and its pomegranate cider ^.^
Brother Thelonious

They take their beers appropriately seriously. ^_^ Very good brewery - definitely one of those you can trust anything they do being well worth enjoying.
wow wow wowwwww.. welcome! ^v^ *tailwags*
Don't suppose you might have any need to perhaps wander up thisaway in the coming week or so? ^_^
Cool! So you're on mu side of the pond now? Most excellent. I hope it's for an interview, though traveling for a vacation is also quite acceptable. I wish you were an astronomical instrument scientist, ours just resigned. But I don't think you would exactly thrive up here on the mountain, it's very much redneck territory.

Congrats! Make sure you see Kubo, as it's still in its original release run.
Indeed! Two, in fact - more, if I can manage it, and if I need them. =:) I've got to get specific times set up for both of them - thinking maybe start with the prime prospect on Tue or Wed, then the other the following day. But yes, also just enjoying seeing friends again, and was suitably stuffed with fish immediately upon my emergence from SFO. Such a fate!

Eep! Hope that isn't proving too disruptive. Mm, I'd love to land something right in SF if possible - it's very much my kind of town, even amidst all the upheavals the city's going through. I'd enjoy such a return anyway, but especially with the coming few years coming up.
Our continent is graced by the return of your presence!  Now go take a job away from a old-white-guy American!
*grin* Oh, I'm more in the business of fulfilling quite particular, unusual combinations of skills. =:) Growing up with innately resource constrained systems that are eclipsed by even the most humble embedded MCU has its benefits, as you can appreciate - I'm perfectly used to getting the absolute best out of even a few MHz processor, and 64K of SRAM is positively luxurious. ^_^
Best of luck with your interview(s).
I think I missed that you were going to be in the bay, work has been attempting murder again. Neat!
