This being the sort of locale it is, most nights, if I leave the window open, I can hear the boy racers trying to zip around the country roads in the distance. Tonight, though, there's one in particular whose idea of an orgasmic night out is to rev the engine, let it fall back to idle, and squee at the resulting backfire.
