Poop. Orbital are finishing up for good in June; the "Blue" album is released, they have fun at Glastonbury, et c'est finis. Still, it seems the brothers will be continuing on separate projects, so it's not really a retirement as such.

Finally: Bubba Ho-Tep comes to DVD on May 25th. I want to see this.

Looking over the summary of the HHGTTG movie, and perusing the actors' links, I'm growing more confident that they might wind up with a good film. In every case, I can look at the headshot, and imagine them well in their role. Also, there's an interview with the directors, worth a peek.

Mmmm.

Mmmm. <a href="http://www.chapter.org/>The Chapter will beholding their annual Maifest on May 20-22nd (Thu-Sat). If last year's was anything to go by, it'll be a superb opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of German beers as freshly as possible, without any bottling or canning in the way. Don't suppose anybody would be interested in coming along, would they? It's easily reached from the Cardiff Central bus and train stations - or an easy 25 min walk, and there's far from a shortage of places to stay, ranging from bed-and-colorful-TV cheapies around £20, through Ibis and The Big Sleep, to positively plush (albeit, regrettably, not in the cuddly sense) hotels.

And if you know of the furry comic Omaha the Cat-Dancer, you may want to read this entry, compiled by <lj user="doodlesthegreat">, with both good and unpleasant news.

Just a thought: do any LJ clients (for OS X particularly) support offline compositiong and queueing? It'd be handy sometimes if I were able to create a reply to a comment while on the move, and then, as with a mail client, have it automagically submit them all.

Finally, for something a little different, enjoy this 1.9MB Flash animation from Korea, on the subject of a lovestruck rabbit who falls for a rather reluctant cat. ^_^
