Porsupah smile by Djinni

From the spaghetti trees of Italy..

Arnie acts to ban California gay marriages as 'threat to civil order'. Quote: "Arnold Schwarzenegger, California's Governor, has stepped into the national furore over gay marriage, ordering the state's top legal official to take action to stop the issuance of same-sex marriage licences in San Francisco, on the grounds it represented "an imminent threat to civil order". The story does also detail the progress being made elsewhere in the US.

Meanwhile, in Elbonia, some progress is being made on their iPod knock-off.

caffeinewabbit has a slew of delightful mood icons. Have a look.

Quite good VW ad here. Despite the rapid nature of the editing, it retains a certain elegance of concept.

According to the Yankee or Dixie quiz, I'm "54% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category." I just knew I should've been a Southern belle. ^_^

Courtesy of Harriet Bazlet in comp.sys.acorn.misc: 'I was rather amused to notice the snide snippet in the 'Guardian' about the Microsoft building in Reading - apparently it boasts a giant pair of sliding doors at the entrance which have started to get stuck open in sub-zero temperatures, causing considerable discomfort indoors. The columnist's punchline: "If you think Microsoft's doors are bad, you should see their Windows...."'

Good Grief, Charlie Brown! I seem to have 127 music videos on Ocelot, coming in at 4.42GB. Not quite 10% of said PowerBook's storage, but still, not bad. ^_^ Here's the list: Collapse )

On a geeky note, one-time Be guy Dominic Giampaolo's "Practical File System Design with the Be File System" was apparently recently released as a free PDF. [1.1MB] The OSNews comments are also worth a read.

I'll mention this photo, for those of you following the SCO vs IBM drama. ^_^ It's a sign, I tell you!

And finally, leaving the.. um.. "best" for last, a special treat, courtesy of tursi and rabitguy, a bit of animation, "The Lion and the King". [33MB MPEG-1, small frame size] While watching, bear in mind this was apparently published as part of a commercial Playstation title. Now how much would you pay?

Enjoy the show. ^_^

Hee, hee, hee..
