From a story in The Guardian today:

"Staff at a department store in the German city of Kaiserslautern called detectives after an angry customer tried to return a computer stuffed with potatoes to the shop twice on the same day."

BTW, if anyone wants to see the MacWorld keynote, but would rather not bother streaming it, it's available for download here. It's the high bandwidth version, weighing in at 305MB for the two-hour production. GarageBand's piece of the spotlight starts around 1:08:48. Early parts can be skipped quite safely, unless the prospect of Even Easier Note-Taking in Office 2004 sends little tingles of excitement down your tail.

Very wierd article about the potatos. What else can I say? ;) Thanks for posting Porsupah.
*grins* Brilliant article about the potatoes in the computer! Thanks for posting the link. =:D It's strange to think that, had that guy not been too damned greedy, he could have had himself a free computer. =:o

(And I can't believe the person they were interviewing at the end missed the obvious chance for a pun about 'chips' =:P)

They replaced his potatoe-filled computer? Gee, I wonder if that'll work at Fry's...

Thanks for the keynote link!
