Every time I go out on a photography mission in SL, I wind up loving every minute of it. ^_^ There's just something about the challenge of finding just the right places, the angles, the lighting.. so many possibilities, a few of which will strike me just the right way, once I've zoomed in a little, around a bit, focus on a different part of the scene, adjusted the lighting.. so many possibilities, so many ways to mess up, and so much wonder to be found. As in life in general, ne?

And if you've got a couple minutes spare for a good SL music video, try this out: I Will Find You. Broodily romantic, befitting the Clannad soundtrack, with cloudy skies and sheep over the hillside, it's a simple tale, elegantly portrayed.

Taking pictures in SL can be nice, yes.

Out of curiosity, is there some way to stop your avatar from moving about (turning their head etc.) while you're doing it? I often find this rather annoying when I try to take a picture - and you'd think there SHOULD be some way to control yourself or tell yourself to stand still while you're taking photos of yourself...
I'm really pleased to be able to get back into it properly again. ^_^ For quite a while, hi-res shots were often useless, with anything on the glow layer tiled at low res, so a normal hi-res (twice the size along each axis) shot would have four copies of that layer. Snowglobe seems to've fixed that, although there may still be similar weirdness with water, but that's much more readily avoided.

I'm not actually sure! I think I've read of such a preference, but I can't recall it. =:P Indeed, it's a bit of a nuisance if you've got a shot lined up, and then suddenly you're paying great attention to someone flying around. ^_^;

Hm. You should make a LOLwolf of you with paws in your ears, demonstrating how to stop looking at sound sources nearby. =:)
*chuckles* That'd be interesting... how'd you do that, though? (Hmm, I probably should look into how to create animations etc. for SL some time...)

If you do find a preference like that, do let me know! (I'll do the same if I come across it.)

By the way, have you been following the comic strip Working Daze recently? It's on a bit of a transformation theme the past week.
