I thought circuit_four might be similarly warmed by this touching tale of porn tipping. ^_^

Telepathique: Eu Gosto is well worth a try. I'm not sure who to compare the project to, but maybe if you reanimated Paul Oakenfold with Amon Tobin and Fatboy Slim's sensibilities, you'd be somewhere in the right place. "Neither fish nor flesh, neither electro nor rave nor funk nor punk, but a cluster-fuck of all. Their 2006 debut ‘Last Time On Earth’ earned much respect in Portugal and Spain which led to a tour through the region, playing many festival gigs and sharing stages with Diplo, Hot Chip and Massive Attack."

On a more familiar musical note, ristin spotted this rather spiffy Red XIII. =:9

A noteworthy weblog, if you're interested in the artistic possibilities afforded (and there's no shortage of shinies): SL Conceptual Creations. Even if you've no interest in SL per se, it's quite visually engaging.

Here's a mind control/hypnosis story that's particularly well written: Undertow. Hypnosis is only of peripheral interest to me, inasmuch as it might aid the sensation of occupying another physical form, but this story's focus isn't on the act or process.. or maybe it is, but in a somewhat more oblique manner. Either way, it's worth reading.

Behold the Butter Wizard, just in case your kitchen is lacking in geegaws.

As the price had dropped considerably, I finally went ahead and picked up a shiny new 250GB drive for Hyzenthlay. ^_^ (Not quite uneventful getting it in place, as it seems the final revision PowerBooks include a magnetic shield, fairly securely affixed to the drive - we wound up carefully slicing away the tape used. Getting the 'book apart was quite easy, just involving quite a few screws) So nice, suddenly seeing everything still present as before, but now with 120GB or so free. ^_^ That, coupled with a key success at the salt mine, and getting the application off for the house I'm hoping to rent, has made for quite a happy bunny. ^_^ (And as before, if anyone willing to wear multiple programming hats wants a job, we'd love to help - you'll need to be ready to leap in, as there's no shortage of tasks ahead. C/C++, VB, C#, Delphi, Cocoa - it's all good. Analog electronics would be very cool, too)

Magnetic Shielding, eh? Apply a reverse polarised tachyon burst along the trans-axial flow ducting and you're done.

Or, to quote Brain: Jiggle it a little, it'll open. (Which is such a fun thing to say out loud)
As the other guy at the office noted of one well-known set of pipes on the Enterprise, labelled "GNDN" - later discovered to stand for Goes Nowhere Does Nothing. =:D

Mmm. I think I need to work on the right voice for the quote.. maybe Graham Norton? ^_^

*giggle* It did come perilously close to one, but given it actually had a real purpose, I think the submitter got away with it. =:D Definitely a really cute piece of work!

(Mm! That's something else I can look forward to, if I do land this place - or even somewhere similar, but I just love the way the owners have turned the house into somewhere to feel cozy.. you can tell they've put a lot of time and money into it all. Not a huge place, but nicely comfortable. I'd be able to get back into costuming! I'd so love to make up a bunny.. again, actually. I did make a snowshoe hare several years back, which I wound up giving to fEk. Not really finished, though I was quite pleased with how the feet turned out, made in a similar way to Red's - carved foam over cheap flexible shoes)

What, like Angel isn't supremely cute? ^_^ (Come to think of it, that's also the skunkie's name in Joe Rosales' Wildlifers)
I so seriously want a Butter Wizard... But I'm a sucker for Kitchen Geekery...
The problem with it for me, I think, is that two hour battery life - I'd really want it to be able to keep things right for most of a day. Then again, given how little butter I go through, I suppose I wouldn't have much need for one - it's only certain types of cooking where I'll head that way, such as giving asparagus a little butter. For sandwiches and suchlike, I'll go more savory routes, like cream cheese, or low fat mayonnaise and some mildly spicy cheese, like manchego)

The two hour battery life is when it's away from it's power point, ie, if you took it into the dining room to serve baked potatoes. When it's in the kitchen, you keep it on the recharging bay all the time.
Ah, I suppose that's true, yes.

Though I can't help but wonder if there isn't a more precise solution waiting to be brought into reality - perhaps a pencil-thin microwave beam could warm up a rod of butter on demand, in a similar spirit to on-demand showers, but better suited to making cheesecakes.

Perhaps it could be cut off automatically by a laser. Everything's better with lasers.

Well, I can do C/C++, VB, C# and Java, but I dun think you're lookin' for me. XD
Well, the commute might be a bit tiresome.. =:D
What do you do, Por?
Must.. resist.. urge to recite The Lumberjack Song lyrics. =:D

I'll probably explain a bit more about the new gig in a f-locked entry sometime. It's nothing secret, just probably quite easily identifiable, and we don't need to drop more hints to the competitors than necessary. ^_^

:: raises a paw:: I want a job! Can't claim ownership of the VB, C#, Delphi, Cocoa hats though. And the C/C++ hat.... has holes in it. Notably the C++ parts of it. But more than willing to pick up a few new languages. (Notably Cocoa. Been planning to get around to that for several years now....) Nrrgh at analog electronics though. Doable, probably, but flaky, despite the four years of electrical engineering training. =.=[/babble, babble, babble]

Wait, are you still in the states..? I don't mind scampering elsewhere, but I'm probably not skillful enough to be worth flying places for stuff.

Oooh, and Undertow is well written. Mmm, I hope there'll be more... On the topic of occupying another physical form, I think there was a furry hypnosis file over at warpmymind.com. As well as becoming other things..

I am not a list, I am a free bunny! *nibbles everything in sight* =:)

He is a very cute XIII, ne? I just keep wishing GooTube were in higher resolution - though, at least, if you hop over to keepvid.com, their YouTube results now give you a choice of the plain FLV, and what's meant to be a higher quality MPEG-4 file, which is the obvious option. Ahh, for the day when Doctor Who shifts production to HD.. =:9
Gosh, I'm flattered, but why on earth would that remind you of me? O:)

I suppose I could start giving away pin-ups of Peggy and her similarly endowed monster girls. >:)
I simultaneously have no idea and a perfect understanding of why. ^_^;

You never know - that might wind up landing Peggy a raft of commissions. =:D (Of course, that also depends on there being a good local pizza emporium or two, lest you wind up with eagerly delivered Domino's[1])

[1] Which is not to imply you'd actually patronise them. Or Little Caesar's, for that matter. Oy! Pizza Hut's okay as chains go, but when I gave up on them, their crusts always seemed to be half a step away from fried bread. :-P Mmm, another reason to long for a kitchen of my own - then I can set about creating Chicago style stuffed pizza again. (Though I can imagine having trouble with the dough - I'm fine with beer and wine yeasts, but bread yeasts seem to take one look at me and curl up their toes)

See, the issue is that even though she's utterly clueless about anything else involving the kitchen "food room," Peg actually makes the second best pizza in town herself.

Sometimes I really hate Boston. :)
That butter wizard looks... interesting o_o Though being the lactose intolerant person that I am, I'll stick to my no batteries required margarine and keep butter for baking... which reminds me I should make banana bread again soon...

That suit is amazing!! I'm extremely impressed, and he looks strangely cuddly too... but then I've always kinda had a thing for Red XIII... if it weren't for Vincent he probably never would have left my party...

However any time I hear anything by Rick Astley, all I can think of is this video ;)
Mmmm, banana bread! I'm not huge on mixing nuts in with most cooking, but I'd happily accept walnuts work well there too. =:9 (As indeed does the magic herb =:)

Ha! I'm going to have to listen to that, once I'm back in a quiet setting - currently enjoying the afterglow of a good steak at a local pub, and the ambience has picked up somewhat in volume since I arrived. ^_^;

It's a bit odd, really, the way there aren't more anime-based 'suits at cons, at least as far as I've seen - you'd think there'd be the odd moogle or chocobo. But at least Red XIII seems to've gotten around a bit, for which I believe we are all duly thankful.

So, what's your first suit going to be? ^_^

Dare I ask what this magic herb might be? ;P

Assuming I get around to actually having a suit made, and then assuming I end up in a situation where I would be with people who you know actually know who the hell I am... probably just my own fursona. And I would be sexy ;)
One traditionally celebrated at 4.20pm. =:) For what it's worth, I can offer my recommendation - far healthier than ethanol, though I shan't give up good beer without a fight. =:) (If you ever get a chance to try Westvleteren Abt.12, leap at it. It's as good as they're saying there.. just superb.

Mmm.. might have to make it deliberately form-fitting, too, to get that feline slinkiness. Oh, that'd be just horrible. =:) Worth looking into - indeed, you might even investigate making something yourself, starting with just the head. There are many techniques, of course - Red uses carved foam, Patch uses vacuuformed plastic, others use needlework webbing and a cycling helmet as a "skeleton", Leticia uses molded fiberglass, some go with latex prostheses.. some are a bit simpler than others, some offer benefits in fitting close to the face, or lend themselves to a toony or realistic look. It certainly doesn't have to be expensive! (Messy, though - that's virtually guaranteed =:)

If I did make a fursuit, yes it would have to be relatively form-fitting and slinky ^^ The thing is, in order to achieve the right effect I'd need a head that wasn't much larger either, or it would just appear too comical. A moveable tail would also be a really nice touch... *curls his around your waist* I mean, a good tail accounts for so much of a feline's slinkiness.
